Another Hat

I started a hat for a bartender I know. She saw the last hat I made and asked if I could make her one that would compliment her coat.

I'm using Lion Brand Homespun in the Sierra colorway to make it. This is the first and probably last time I use the Homespun. This stuff is very hard to work with.

Homespun is horrifying to work with. It's not fun crocheting with it either. But hey, we live and learn.

Mason, it's great to see your blog. Yeah, I get to see your posts on KH, Ravelry, your other blog and now here....I love it. You always make me smile. I look forward to your humor daily.

You've made a few days better for me! P.S. I linked to your blog on mine!

It used to not be so bad but I agree, not fun to work with.

Thanks Letah. :)

Is it because of how bulky it is... I've never used the homespun, crocheting or knitting, but I just finished up a scarf for my grandmother in Patons Divine bulky wool blend. It was just ok to work with. The biggest pain was getting pieces of the thread caught when working it.

Yeah it's partly the bulkiness, but mostly the way it's kind of twisty instead of relatively smooth. It also splits if you look at it too hard LOL
