The sapphire sweater is shaping up nicely. I've finished the body and started one sleeve. It actually looks like a sweater!
I was working on the sleeve in a small pub last night and got quite a few compliments on it. A couple of people looked at it, looked at me, and couldn't quite connect the two LOL
I hope to post a pic of the finished object soon. It really is coming along more quickly than I had expected.

Hey Mason,
For Beginner Sockinators:
"Getting Started Knitting Socks" (of the - Getting Started series) by Ann Budd.
I have yet to begin a pair... probably because I'm always making dishcloths, a shawl, have recently, vaguely begun a sweater for myself(finally), ~ I swear all my needle sets & circulars have yarn on them!!
If you want quick things to make while on the road - dish cloths - try this link:

Loads of guys knit & crochet. It's not a gender thing, it's a yarn; a craft thing...why do folks still insist upon stereotyping people?
Take Care, Peace, Carol
Thanks Carol.
Hi, I found your blog link at knittinghelp. I think it's fantastic that not only do you knit, but that you knit everywhere and your not afraid of people seeing you do it! I can't wait to see the finished saffire sweater!
Thanks Lynn. If I was ashamed of knitting I wouldn't do it. Since I'm not, why would I care who sees me knitting?
It's a great conversation starter. :)
