Finished The Sweater

I finally finished the sapphire sweater. I think it turned out ok for a first attempt.

For a first attempt it looks pretty damn good to me! I haven't got the patience for anything that large yet, still knitting small stuff like hats & socks.

Thanks. I enjoyed knitting it. You really should just jump in and give it a try.

Small or large it's just one stitch at a time.

looks good man! Good fit!

I have GOT to get cracking on my sweater. I can't feel like a complete knitter going into another fall and never having knit myself a sweater.

I have enjoyed reading about your progress on this sweater. It turned out very nice. I haven't made an adult-sized sweater, yet. Maybe I will start one this winter because as you said, "small or large, it's just one stitch at a time."

Thanks, I enjoyed knitting it.

Great job! What's your next challenge? It's seams you're always tackling something new each time I check in on your blog. Safe travels . . .

Thanks. Right now I'm trying to find the time to whip out a matching hat for the sweater.

After that I haven't yet decided what's next. As soon as I can afford it I'll be ordering more yarn for a cabled sweater, but until then I'll probably just work on some simple projects, probably some stranding work, hats and such.

OMG!! That is awesome Mason, I haven't attempted a sweater yet I've done shawls and shrugs. But I need (have) to do a sweater for my hubby. Am I a bit scared yep I won't lay about that but I have found a pattern that I think he will like. It is a cardigan (he injured his rotater cuff) easier for him to put on and take off. But this is a fair isle pattern. So I guess you can say that I am taking a HUGE jump. But hey if you can make a sweater so can I. It is so nice to see more men who knit. It's just so calming and relaxing I think. Anyway my friend keep up the good work.

Thanks. I'm sure you'll do fine. It's just one stitch at a time.

Thanks. The next sweater will probably be something cabled.

Looks fabulous for a first attempt to me! Congrats on having the patience to finish it. One of the reasons I haven't yet knit my husband a sweater is because he wears a size XL and it probably would take forever and a day for me to get it done! He'll have to be satisfied with socks for now.

Thanks, they go quicker than you might think.

Thanks. I wish I had brought it on the road with me this time. It's already getting chilly out here.

That's so cool. Great looking sweater. I'm working on an afghan and hope to 'graduate' to sweaters and socks some day. Check my blog at danferren.blogspot.com
