Just a knitting blog by a long haul trucker.
Awww so cute!
Thanks, I'm hoping she likes them.
Based upon some good input at KH I added a ribbon tie so the bootie can be better secured on the baby's foot.
Its gorgeous its a nice colour.
Hi Knitting Guy! Thank you for your nice comment on my bootie pattern, and for referencing it along with your own effort to create a bottom-up seamless baby bootie! Can you believe the difficulty in **finding** a seamless bootie pattern? I was very surprised that I couldn't find an existing one that I liked... Yours looks great! I'm going to reference your blog in my next post, because I think it's funny how we were both thinking along the same lines on this...I also checked out your first attempt at a sweater in one of your prior posts, and I must say that it is terrific! Regards, Laura
very nice looking! you should put up a link to the pattern. I seem to find myself at that age where everyone is having kids and these would make a cool gift. ...better than the "I'm with stupid ---> " shirt that points to the parents.
LOLThanks. For the most part this was improvised so there really isn't a pattern per se.I did use YarnThrower's pattern, which is a very similar design, to do the toe shaping. That pattern is pretty close to what I did here although there are a few differences. Her pattern can be found here: http://pickinandthrowin.blogspot.com/2008/08/baby-booties-san-seams-bottom-up.html
Thanks for posting the pattern for the other booties. Yours looks great, I would never be able to figure out something like that
